Procedures for severe weather conditions

In the event of severe weather which may compromise the health and safety of pupils due to unsafe site or insufficient numbers of staff being able to get to work, a decision will be taken on whether to close any OOSC clubs.

We will do all we can to inform parents in advance, however decisions may have to be made at the last-minute. If possible, an email warning parents/ carers of OOSC policy and procedure will be made in advance via email.

We will aim to report on all closures via email and will publish information on the OOSC website.

If the school has made the decision to close, then OOSC will also be closed with no refunds due for sessions closed.

The status of the school in terms of being open or closed will be available also on the Local Authority website.

If OOSC have made the decision to close a session, whereas the partner school remains open, this session will be credited to parents/carers accounts to use at a later date.

OOSC staff available to work will receive pay for closed sessions as per normal agreed working hours. Off-site admin may be agreed for hours in lieu of on-site work.
